Mitsubishi HC Capital America announces that the Monitor has named Amanda Brubaken, an Operations Group Lead in the company’s Vendor Solutions division as a “40 Under 40 NextGen” in 2024. This prestigious recognition, from a leading trade publication in equipment finance and leasing, highlights Brubaken's continuous contributions and leadership within the industry.

In her role at Mitsubishi HC Capital America, Brubaken's ability to lead and build strong interpersonal relationships across departments exemplify her trajectory as a rising star in equipment finance. She recently achieved her CLFP (Certified Lease & Finance Professional) designation, demonstrating her expertise and further commitment to the industry.

“Amanda started on our syndications team, where she expertly managed funding packages from various finance companies. Over time, she transitioned to our vendor financing group, working directly with both vendors and customers. Amanda’s experience with both syndicated and vendor transactions gives her a comprehensive understanding of the finance industry, and she has distinguished herself as a leader within our company and a valuable resource for her colleagues,” said Mary Carsen, Vice President of Program Management for the Vendor Solutions division.

For the equipment finance sector to grow, Brubaken emphasizes the importance of attracting emerging talent early in their careers. She believes it is important to open the lines of collaboration and communication between c-suite leaders and individual contributors to allow both generations to learn from one another and to retain top talent. “We’re a $1.6 trillion industry that operates under most people’s radar, and we can’t bring people into an industry that they don’t know exists,” Brubaken says.

To promote the industry she feels so passionately about, Brubaken was appointed to the Equipment Leasing Finance Association’s (ELFA) Emerging Talent and Advisory Council in 2021. This has provided her with a platform to promote the industry, and recently she was featured at the ELFA’s Annual Convention and in 2024, joined the Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation’s Future Council.

From CEOs of Fortune
500 companies to inside sales of startups, Brubaken has a unique ability to connect and work with people of all backgrounds, roles, and statuses. Her open-minded and receptive attitude shapes her approach to mentorship, and she does not let a fear of mistakes stop her from taking risks; rather, she understands that mistakes are simply learning opportunities.

“Amanda has dedicated considerable time to the equipment financing industry. Her extensive knowledge and expertise are invaluable as our company continues to expand, ensuring smooth and successful growth,” says Carsen.
